Meet Our New Senior Pastor & His Family: Daniel, Stephanie, Moses, Sadie, & Josiah Shuskey
God has been faithfully guiding Daniel Shuskey’s life and ministry from an early age. As a young man, Daniel surrendered his life to Jesus Christ and answered God’s call to ministry—a calling that continues to shape his journey.
Daniel has served in many ministry roles, including shepherding congregations, preaching, teaching, mentoring leaders, and helping churches grow stronger through seasons of change. Most recently he has worked as lead pastor in the revitalization of an established church with amazing results over a short period of time. He has also served for the past seven years as Chaplain for the Randolph County Highway Patrol, ministering to officers, their families, and the community during times of celebration and crisis.
Daniel feels led by the Holy Spirit to serve as Pastor of Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Western Carolina University and is pursuing a Master of Divinity through Indiana Wesleyan University.
Daniel and his wife, Stephanie, share a love for Christ and a heart for ministry. Stephanie is completing her master’s degree in Special Education this year. Together, they are raising three children—Moses 10, Sadie 8, and Josiah 5—who are excited to be part of the Poplar Ridge family.
We are grateful for God’s guidance in bringing the Shuskey family to Poplar Ridge and look forward to serving Him together.
